waiting on the world to change

sometimes waiting isn't enough.

but at other times, waiting is all you can do.

in either case, you're stuck in the in between.
i'm not sure what is better.

end of the day though, what can i do but wait.

and so i wait, i'll wait to see what will happen, i'll wait to see what unfolds, i'll wait to see what i become, i'll wait for that letter, for that email, for that phone call, for that song ...

a few months, a few days, a few years... and on and on and on.

waiting for the world to change?
for my world to change?
maybe.
but if i don't do anything to change, how can the world change?
